Val Kilmer’s “Citizen Twain”

Integrated Visions designed a video mapped projection system and custom projection mapped animations for Val Kilmer’s theatrical production, “Citizen Twain”.   In “Citizen Twain”, Val Kilmer resurrects an American hero, Mark Twain, for a 90-minute one man performance.  At key moments in the play, video mapped projections transform the set in theme with the story.  During the famous scene from the Adventures of Tom Sawyer, the set turns into a picket fence as it is slowly white washed.  For another scene in the play, the set is transformed into a swimming hole in the Sandwich Islands.   In order to achieve these transformations, IVP utilized 3 projectors to cover the entire set with video mapped projections including a plank platform, steamer trunks and a circular portal.
