This guerilla projection mapping project was set up with-in 30 minutes of being on-site. Several factors made this building perfect for this project. The building is light colored and has an interesting façade to transform with projection mapping. The windows had been bricked up leaving a large area to use as a projection surface. The industrial location in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn ensured that the “guerilla” projections would not upset anybody. With no control of the ambient lighting conditions, IVP overpowered the streetlights using a Christie Roadster 20,000 lumen projector powered by a small generator. In order to squeeze this project in to IVP’s busy summer schedule, this project had to be completed within a very short timeline. All of the content was custom made for this building projection. Thanks to Brian Blessinger for helping to make this project possible.
